the chronicles of a death foretold ending leaves the reader with alot of open ended question, has santiago really taken the virginity of Angela Vicario? because she does accuse him however there is no evedience of him doing such a thing. No one saw them together, in such an initmmate way nor did they give anythign to suggest they have seen him and her could have possible done somthign like that. The death of santiago also seems kind of vage why didnt the twins make sure he was dead? Santiago was able to walk to the kitchen, why didn't he scream for help, surely someone might have heard.
The statement of santiago not understanding his own death seems kind of false, because his feiance does tell him however he leaves with out understanding, maybe if he waited and thought about what she had said he would have understood?
