The grapes of wrath 1-122

The story of The grapes of wrath dialectic was complicated to understand, but after you get over that it was a pretty east read. THe book alternates chapters between how the society in the west was affected politically and about a family whom has to move because of these affects. Tom is sent home after gettin paroll. He later revisits his old house and realize that everyone is gone, his past preacheer tells him that they have left. (John Stinebeck also makes a great deal of importance with detail, he dedicates almost half of the book to a turtle and describing it being almost ran over). The book shows how wrong the farmers are being treated, the are forced to move, with their family with no where to go. It makes the farmer tum on each other, they have gotten jobs to evice each other and soon the place is left deserted. The book then takes Tom and the preacher on a journey to find the Joads family. Most of what was written from this point was jus description and examples and seems like pointless things in the book. For example his when the grandfather is first introduced there is a whole page about him not being able to button his shirt right, i do not see the reason for this unless there is somethign missing from my point of view. Thr turtle seems to symbolize somthing later, but right now its seems as if he describes many things in great detail none it it is goin to really going to be understood, because there are goin to be too many symbolize.

another thing taht caught my attention how every thought he broke out of jail. why would they think this? what were ther circumstances that he killed the man? the story still has many open questions at this point.
